  1. can't believe that cat turned down a full time offer with GS. he talks about preferring to develop personal equity rather than brand equity (street credibility because you went to a certain school or worked for an elite company) but i can't say that i agree with him. after a few years with GS, he could more than likely leverage his experience and come away with a big offer from another bank. and it's not like you don't develop personal equity/skills at a mckinsey, bain & co, or GS. i just think his decision is questionable at best.

    military exp + HBS + elite company = a triple knockout punch. i don't see why the guy would want to play in the minors after the Yankees made him an offer.
